Khansaheb Sykes is a specialised dewatering contractor and pump supplier within the UAE and GCC countries. As part of a Power Station Project in Dubai, Khansaheb Sykes Dewatering found a dewatering solution for the construction of a sea intake structure.

Due to the proximity to the shoreline and taking into account the ground conditions at the project site, Khansaheb Sykes Design team worked extremely hard to ensure that a dry site at the project was maintained. With the help of the electric submersible dewatering pumps from PRORIL (types TANK 422 and TANK 355) a conventional deep well dewatering pump system was installed.

Khansaheb Sykes always supplies the optimal pumping solution for any project no matter how big or small, so we are proud that they used PRORIL submersible pumps for this project!

In the main, most Proril submersible pumps are used for site dewatering or sewage applications. That being the case, it’s nice to hear of an exception, especially when it gets so many positive responses.

The head gardener of a luxury apartment complex in the middle of the Netherlands was looking for a 230V fountain pump. The requirements were clear, minimal energy consumption but with the ability to produce an impressive water display.

With the introduction of a Proril Smart 1500S on 230V, the expectations were quickly fulfilled. In total, there are about 110 people in the surrounding apartments of the complex and many personally complimented the head gardener for his excellent choice.

Adjustable BSP Discharge Coupling

Did you know that all submersible dewatering pumps in the TANK Series up to 7,5 kW have an adjustable discharge coupling?

It will only take 5 minutes to change the direction of the discharge coupling from vertical to horizontal. This change in installation can prevent tight bends and kinks in the discharge hose. Save money and avoid unnecessary friction losses and reduced pump performance.

No more clogging with GOCUT Submersible Chopper Pumps

Handling raw sewages and treating wastewater can cause clogging of pumps. The GOCUT submersible chopper pumps from the GOCUT series has a chopping mechanism that shreds the solids in the pumped liquid into small pieces. So no more clogging of the pump itself or the adjacent piping.

The cutting mechanism consists of a chopper plate and a tungsten carbide alloy tip onto each vane of the semi-open channel impeller.

Proril submersible pumps dewater construction sites Doha Metro

Qatar is rapidly constructing a full-size subway network designed to interconnect all key areas in Doha. It will have four lines with an approximate overall length of 300km and 100 stations. PRORIL Pumps is assisting in the realization of the project.

PRORIL Pumps is assisting in the realization of the project. Between Doha city and the recently opened Hamad International Airport, an array of PRORIL submersible pumps from the TANK series dewatering pumps have dewatered the construction site for what will be the Airport City North metro station. The leakage water was pumped away from the site using 4” and 6” PRORIL pumps with a power of 22kW.

All water pumped from the site is collected in a number of settlement tanks, after which a battery of auto prime pumps are being used to booster the water back into the Gulf.

The Doha Metro in Qatar's capital city will be one of the most advanced rail transit systems in the world when Phase 1 becomes operational by the end of 2019.
